What an amazing learning experience! Through a simple presentation/videos Patrick showed me "how to speak dog" rather the harder prospect of teaching my dog "to speak human". His demonstrations and practical exercises taught me how to work with my 8 year old German Shepherd to be calmer and more attentive in stressful situations. Frankly, this intensive first session was nothing short of instantly and completely helpful. If you don’t think this will work on your dog, you’re wrong. I was worried if this would work for an older dog, but the results speak for themselves right away. I’ve now got an attentive and cooperative canine companion. The great part is that Bark Busters is there for texts and phone call questions whenever needed (which I've already utilized). This also includes homework and follow-on sessions. Patrick is truly a lifetime training partner for you and your canine companion. Thank you Patrick and Bark Busters of Fort Myers for the life altering help! I can't wait for follow-on sessions.

Thank you Pat and Bark Busters! We were really having some problems with our new puppy. Establishing boundaries and getting him house trained was pushing us to our limits. Our sweet puppy Winston would go to the bathroom everywhere and .... often. We have 4 boys and live a very active lifestyle. It was critical to get him house trained. Our puppy was sweet and loving, however, we were getting to a point when we thought we had made a wrong decision in getting him. We tried crate training and various methods on our own with no luck. Pat came out and spent time with our family to understand the problems and educate us on how to speak to our puppy and offered a few simple solutions (where and when to feed, type of food, basic commands...). We are happy to report that we have had no accidents in the house for almost 2 weeks!!!! Bark Busters saved us!

I have worked with Patrick with my own personal dogs who have sibling rivalry and some of our fosters with a local rescue. Yesterday was a game changer in our household! We have a German Shepherd rescue with a sad beginning to her life. The police found her wandering the streets of Miami so we can only imagine what 24 hours in her young life would bring. She is a wonderful dog with some not so wonderful issues. We have had her for 4 weeks and spent time getting her to trust us and know she had a safe forever home but we were unable to help her overcome her problems. Then in came Patrick. In 2 hours, we learned to correct the things we were doing wrong and our girl started to learn what was expected of her to be a member of our pack. We had no idea things could change so rapidly! Patrick worked wonders with her and we all agree that it is going to take some time to overcome all the issues but the improvement in her (and us) has been amazing in 24 hours. We would highly recommend Patrick. It's good to know we can call him at any time for help, but right now, everything Patrick taught us is working. Thank you Bark Busters and Patrick!

My family rescued a Lab/Shepard mix in May and we were having issues with walking him on a leash, swimming in our pool was not enjoyable, separation anxiety, jumping on us when we returned home and just not understanding who was in charge. Patrick has helped us with our two rescue dogs. They each had their own unique, behavioral problems which were causing us issues on multiple fronts. Patrick was able to identify the unwanted behaviors and help us understand why each of our dogs was acting as they did. Our six-year old lab/border collie/pit bull wasn't sure who was in charge and was therefore confused as to his role in the family. Our two year old lab/greyhound mix used her cuteness to get away with over energetic behaviors that bordered on insane. By implementing Patrick's tools over the last six months, we now have two very well-behaved dogs. I even had a small gathering at my house and all the guests were surprised to learn that our dogs were crated in the same room because the dogs never made a sound. This would not have been the story prior to having Patrick help us. All the noise and excitement of twelve new people in the house would have had them barking no stop. This past 4th of July we braced ourselves for the usual crazy barking that comes with the loud bangs of fireworks. For the past four years we have endured a sleepless night as each new round of bangs and whistles would bring about another round of panicked barking. Remarkably, we were able to have a bark free night thanks to Patrick's training tools. I never would have thought such a drastic change was possible but we are living proof that Patrick is a doggie miracle worker!

We had our first meeting this morning and we’ve implemented Patrick’s suggestions in our house with our two brother Scottish Terriers who are just 6 months old. By lunch time I had both responding to me when called and since they were in the green zone both laid down on the floor next to me! Remarkable! Wouldn’t have happened yesterday. Where do I even begin?!? I got their info from a friend who swore by them and now I know why! Patrick is the absolute best in the business! I literally don't know what I'd do without him. Within an hour, Patrick was able help us with our 1 year old Golden-doodle who enjoyed walking me (or pulling me down the street), continuous barking with passerbys or house guest, and peeing due to excitement. He uses humor and great analogies to train the owners on how to use body language to build trust, respect, and a relationship with our dog. Consistency is the key and I am happy that my entire family took part in this training. We are all on the same page and using the same body language to correct our dog's behavior. We have watched many episodes of "The Dog Whisperer" and have tried implementing techniques, but nothing compares to the physical, one-on-one interaction with a trainer who is able to help identify mixed signals or messages we were sending our dog. Patrick took time to demonstrate each technique and allowed us time to practice to ensure we had control of our dog. I highly recommend Patrick from Bark Busters!!!

We have a VERY high energy Boxer named Cassius, to the point where we cannot have people over the house. He jumps on them and will not stop trying to climb on and lick them when they sit down. We called Bark Busters! Patrick came out and within minutes of him training Cassius (actually training us too) Cassius responded and is doing a great job. We rescued a 4 yr old Great Dane that weighs 144 lbs. He was pulling me & lunging at people on his leash. I have tried months of training (with another trainer )with my last dog and had little improvement, so I was very skeptical. With his size we had to try. I would of never believed it had I not seen it for myself. One day of training w Patrick. He is like a different dog. We just moved to this area and asked around for recommendations regarding a dog trainer. 5 recommendations came in from my “Neighborhood” site for Patrick at Bark Busters. I was skeptical since this would be our 3rd trainer. We did the Petsmart/Humane Society type training when we lived in Ohio and our dog did great but it never addressed our issue of him becoming territorial especially when in our home (can never have new people over and only a select few of relatives). Then we tried Sit Means Sit in Ohio. This sounded great but it was awful. They used “vibration” collars which was turned up and became a shock collar. It was a horrible experience and traumatized our dog as well as myself. So when I checked this place out, I was afraid it was the same type of training. I was assured that they did not utilize electrical devices and were not dependent on treats and clickers. So we have it a shot. The proof is in the pudding!! Within 20 minutes, we could see the change in our dog. We just did not know how to communicate. Basically, we were giving our dogs mixed signals without realizing it and because it was conflicting information, he made his own interpretation of what we wanted from him. It’s so basic but honestly, we needed someone to show us and guide us in the how and he also made us understand the why. This is a process but in this very short amount of time- it was a game changer. I don’t usually write a bunch of reviews and tbh it’s usually if it’s a bad review because of the frustration. THIS time, it’s because I can’t believe the difference and I want to share this with all of the other frustrated and desperate dog owners. I can tell you, as long as you are willing to do the homework- it’ll change everything. I get nothing out of this review just the satisfaction that if it helps one person, it was worth it. We have been dealing with this behavior for 6 years and can’t believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Our dog has been a liability and a bite ready to happen. We would have to pay to kennel him if people were coming over for a period of time or lock him up in a room or crate if people were here for the day. It was almost impossible to walk him if another dog was walking down the street and the UPS truck and Fed Ex truck were pretty much forget about its. After 20 minutes of training, we were able to walk down the street, past 2 dogs without any barking or pulling and the UPS truck without any reaction. The trainer and 4 of my daughter’s friends were also able to walk into our home with our dog not crossing the territory that I had claimed and didn’t even bark. I wanted to give specifics so you could see this is legitimate.

It has for years been a production to have anyone come to the door (I couldn't unlock the door) without all three barking, jumping, or trying to escape. My daughter and I adopted a rescue dog after the hurricane. We went through the first phase of group training at Petsmart. My daughter insisted that we needed further training, but I was very resistant because I didn’t think the money was worth it. Especially something I didn’t think was going to work. I finally gave in. To say that Patrick and the Bark Busters techniques are life changers is an understatement. With a 2 year old miniature dachshund I know a thing or two about stubborn dogs. And believe me when I say I’ve researched every training technique out there. Our Rylee has had ongoing issues with her barking at guests, leash pulling and jealousy when other dogs come around, but mostly with her separation anxiety. When it came to her anxiety I feel like we have tried it all..crates, trainers, treats, toys, no crate, music, baby gates, tiring her out before we leave..nothing worked. I’ve read over and over that as a dog owner I needed to establish dominance and let Rylee know that I have my own space and she has hers and that that’s okay. What I learned from Patrick is that it’s one thing to read these techniques and “try” them at home...but it’s totally different when you actually get to see these techniques work before your eyes. And in less than an hour! Patrick was able to show me how to “claim my space” in the house and for Rylee to be calm and relaxed while doing so. In one hour Rylee and I learned that I could let guests in the house and that she didn’t need to bark at them or get worked up. The training really just makes sense and I can’t wait to keep using the Bark Busters techniques to get to the root of Rylee’s separation anxiety. In just two days we both have made tremendous improvements. I have no doubts that she will be a calm and relaxed dog while we are gone in no time! Thanks Patrick and Bark Busters!

Our 1.5 year old Golden Retriever - Hydro, is a sweet boy and wants to be by our side at all times. We got the puppy in March and he turned our house upside down with jumping, biting, chewing, etc. We have 2 children that were always screaming at the dog because he just wanted to play and he did this by jumping and pretty much ripping off their clothes. It was out of control and we couldn't stop it. We were at the point of contemplating giving the pup away. Too much chaos. Sad at the thought of doing that I got on the computer in search of help to fix our chaos. Bark Busters was the first company I had searched and after reading all the success stories I immediately called for an appointment. I foster for RAIN Rescue and we were struggling with training 2 pitbull puppies that were born with a neurological condition cerebellar hypoplasia. Last week, we met with Patrick from Bark Busters to work with Cooper, our feisty Treeing Walker Coonhound. When Cooper was a puppy, we took him to Pet Smart training classes and he learned several commands we still use with him today. However, we soon found that what we learned in those classes wasn't helping us keep Cooper's behavior under control, especially since the commands we learned relied on constantly bribing him with treats. I used to dread having people over because, while Cooper isn't aggressive, he would overwhelm all of our guests by jumping on them until they left, constantly begging for attention. He didn't understand limits or personal space, despite our yanking him away from guests or commands for him to stop. It became increasingly difficult to walk him because he would bark at everything and everyone. He was so anxious and we felt like we'd failed him as his leaders. I rescued a Bull Terrier 2 months ago. I had a previous trainer come to my home to give me basic training. I contacted Patrick from Barkbusters for my pitbull, Gamora. We recently moved and Gamora became aggressive with my mom's Rottweiler mix. Mackenzie is a 9 year old Soft Coated Wheaten and was a nightmare to take for a walk. Today Patrick spent 20 minutes taking us on a walk with him in the neighborhood where we ran into one dog off leash, two ladies on a walk, two German Shepherds who were not well behaved and finished by saying hello to the ladies across the street. Patrick is wonderful! He went over to help a friend with leash training on his day off. Their dog Diesel is a big strong boy. They are in their 60s . I adopted my dog from a local shelter, and from day one I had problems with him. Everyone told me he was too horrible, and that I should take him back to the shelter or have him put down. Patrick came out to my home this morning to help me with my two do what they want dogs, Boss and Blu. By the end of the session I saw quite a bit of improvement in my dogs. We have only positive things to say about our experience with Patrick Logue and Bark Busters. We could see results immediately, while Patrick was with us, and now, two weeks after our in home lesson, we continue to see that following Patrick's suggestions has helped with establishing new behaviors for our recently adopted adult dog. The in home approach is a good idea, helpful in establishing behavior when someone comes to the door, and, going in or out of doors with your dog. We took a walk outside during our lesson and I am still delighted with how good our dog is when we go out for a walk. Patrick is phenomenal! Our two Morkie pups are, or should I say were, very high energy and excitable; they were barking and running for the door whenever some rang the doorbell, as well as barking at every sound they heard outside. After helping us see what we were doing wrong and giving us the tools to correctly take control and communicate with our puppies, they were very calm and relaxed. Bark Busters training worked extremely well for my pup, Milo, even on the first session!! I feel very confident, especially with the follow up support, that Milo and I will continue to be successful with his training. We had Patrick come to us a little over a week ago to help us with our 1 year old dog Luigi. Luigi is a great dog who is filled with lots and lots of energy. We were hoping Patrick would be able to show us how to deal with his constant barking and his jumping on people. As soon as Patrick came to our house I could sense his calmness. He sat down and first shared all of his knowledge with us. He talked to us about how to best communicate with our dog and teach him how to be calm. He then showed us several scenarios and techniques on how to best respond to Luigi and his behavior. I have to say that within that first session I was quickly impressed at the change in Luigi's behavior. All the more impressed that he was responding to us without us using any treats. Just the skills and positive reinforcement we discussed. Patrick encouraged us to continue practicing the skills we learned for at least 10 minutes a day. My husband arrived home after being out of town for the week and was immediately taken back by the positive change in our dog. It is refreshing to see him responding so well! We will continue to practice what Patrick taught us and hope that the positive changes we have seen will develop even more. I would recommend Patrick and Bark Busters 100%. Patrick came to our home yesterday and experienced first hand our standard poodle who barked at the doorbell, jumped all over him upon entry, jumped up on his lap when he sat down, slobbered drinking water on his clothes, and continuously jabbed him with toys to get his attention. During this time, Patrick was making every effort to educate my husband and myself about his program and teaching methods. When human class ended and dog class began, it became immediately apparent that our TOP dog was being demoted to the bottom of our family pack. Patrick was precise in his instruction and thorough with regards to reasoning. He patiently helped us practice until it became evident that our dog was well on her way to becoming a calm and respectful pet. We spent time today practicing from the sheets that were left with us and had no difficulty at all. I was even able to stop my unleashed dog outside from eating mulch and chasing the neighbors cat. I accomplished this with a well timed "dog-speak" word that Patrick taught us. Never had I ever imagined that such a transformation in behavior could be made in such a short amount of time. BARK BUSTERS PATRICK LOGUE IS AWESOME!!
